Dan O’Donoghue / A life in motion
An uncommon life.
The instinct
to lead.
Businesses started at fourteen. Professional snowboarding and wakeboarding. Agreements up to $4.5 million. Homes rebuilt. A life rebuilt.
And two children who matter more than any of it.

Dan O’Donoghue.
Entrepreneur. Builder. Father.01 / The introduction
Good stories
rarely follow
a straight line.
Mine runs through boardrooms, dealerships, workshops, mountain landscapes, and the everyday world of being a dad.
I began building businesses at 14. Over the years I’ve founded, bought, sold, and developed companies, brought businesses to market, rebuilt homes, and travelled around the world. Professional snowboarding and wakeboarding are part of that history. So are a marketing and design education, photography, and a badly broken leg.
Determination became personal when I was recovering from a badly broken leg, undergoing six months of IV treatment, and personally building a new home for my family while my wife was expecting. I was rebuilding myself and building for the people who mattered most.
Today, that curiosity takes me into applications, APIs and the systems behind a useful digital tool. But the common thread is people. Friends and colleagues describe me as someone who connects easily, helps without keeping score and follows through when the work gets difficult. That is the reputation I want to earn in every chapter.

There’s more behind it.
Business is one part of the introduction. The rest helps explain the person who shows up.
A hands-on instinct
Companies. Homes.
Now, applications.
Some ideas become businesses. Others become brands, rebuilt spaces, or digital tools. I’ve worked across all of those forms: founding and developing companies, rebuilding homes, and building applications with the databases, authentication, and APIs behind them.

Professional snowboarding.
Professional wakeboarding.
Professional snowboarding and professional wakeboarding belong in my story alongside world travel, photography, camping, and my love of Ontario. I’m drawn to water and mountains, to going somewhere new and having somewhere meaningful to come home to.

Some rebuilding
is personal.
A badly broken leg and the process of rebuilding afterward are part of how I became the person I am. That chapter belongs here alongside the accomplishments. I’ve built businesses and rebuilt homes; I’ve also had to find my own way forward.

Two children.
My most important role.
I’m a father of two beautiful children, aged three and seven in 2026. Family comes first. Travel, business, sport, and new ideas make for a full life. Being their dad gives that life its centre.
The person behind the work ↗
The person, beyond the profile
Many chapters.
One life.
The people who know me best talk about curiosity, generosity and showing up. A longtime business partner remembers the patience I brought to helping a young watersports student build confidence. Those moments matter alongside the companies, the travels and the accomplishments.
